Today Armenian Speaker Artur Baghdassaryan met with Russian Accounts Chamber Chairman Sergey Stepashin, reported the Press Service of the Armenian Parliament. Russian Ambassador to Armenia Nikolay Pavlov and Chairman of Armenian Control Chamber Gagik Voskanyan. The parties discussed legislative and practical issues of cooperation between Russian Accounts Chamber and Control Chamber of Armenia. Mr. Stepashin informed A. Baghdassaryan on the work of the Accounts Chamber and its cooperation with other structures. The interlocutors noted the need for systematic struggle against corruption and enhancement of the role of the Control Chamber in that struggle. The Armenian Speaker remarked the importance of transparency of the financial activities of state structures. The parties agreed to make practical steps to strengthen cooperation between the two structures and the holding of a joint session of the board of control bodies of both countries will promote that goal.
