Armenian female weightlifters Rozalia Avetisyan and Aghunik Hakobyan (63 kg) finished 4th and 11th in IWF World YouthChampionships, having lifted a total of 156 kg and 138 kg resp. in clean & jerk disciplines.

Also to perform at Tashkent-hosted championships are Sona Poghosyan, Tatev Manukyan (68 kg,) Arevik Mirzakhanyan, and Hripsime Poghosyan (+ 69 kg).
