Armenian President, Czech FM discuss economic cooperation

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met on April 12 with First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Karel Schwarzenberg.

The two men hailed the intensification of the political dialogue between Armenia and Czech Republic, citing the establishment of diplomatic outposts in Yerevan and Prague, cooperation in the international organizations and inter-parliamentary institutions as a proof, presidential press service reported.

They further stressed the need to develop economic cooperation, voicing hope that Yerevan-hosted Armenian-Czech business forum will foster the expansion of trade ties, implementation of joint business projects and promotion of investments.

Armenia-EU cooperation, Yerevan’s progress in the framework of the Eastern Partnership, as well as the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement and regional issues were further discussed.
