Armenian organizations in Georgia urge MPs for Genocide recognition

Georgia-based Armenian public and religious organizations urged the country' parliament speaker and MPs to recognize the Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Empire.

“In the name of justice and democratic values we call on you to join the civilized international community in initiating the discussion and recognition of the 1915-1923 Genocide against Armenians,” the message said, according to the press service of the Georgian Eparchy of Armenian Apostolic Church.

For many years, Armenian organizations have been urging Georgia’s parliament and government for recognition - a plea, which, however, has been left without a reply.
