PM forecasts economic growth in construction industry

Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan noted that 43% fall was recorded in the construction sector since 2009.

“The construction industry was the only restraining force during the coming years. The sector is expected to ensure economic growth starting 2013,” Prime Minister said, hailing last year’s macroeconomic indices.

As for on the coming programs, he stressed the need to boost the business environment, noting that Armenia advanced its positions in the World Bank’s 2013 Doing Business report, taking the 32nd spot among 185 countries.

Prime Minister Sargsyan further dwelt on the reforms to be implemented in the social and healthcare sectors. Upon completion of the meeting, 2012 report on annual financial statements was approved.
