Speaker: for 100 years Genocide awaiting unbiased assessment

Armenian parliament speaker Hovik Abrahamyan issued an address on the 98th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, urging for justice in recognizing this crime against humanity.

“For what will soon be 100 years, the massacres of Armenians in the Ottoman Empire are still waiting to be given fair assessment,” the address said.

“Denial of the Genocide spells perpetuation and even possible recurrence of similar atrocities,” the speaker said, calling the international community for more determination in condemning and acknowledging the Genocide.
