Armenia ready to intensify involvement in ESCAP projects

69th session of Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) kicked off in Thailand on April 29, with Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Manasaryan participating.

Deputy Foreign Minister Manasaryan delivered a speech, briefing those present on Armenia’s major investment projects, cooperation with Asian financial institutions, as well as Turkey’s and Azerbaijan’s position on Armenia. He further met with UN ESCAP Executive Secretary Noeleen Heyzer, who voiced hope for deepening of cooperation with Armenia.

Deputy Foreign Minister Manasaryan stressed the importance of the issues on ESCAP agenda, particularly those relating to landlocked countries.

An agreement was reached to coordinate further steps that must ensure Armenia’s involvement in ESCAP projects.
