Benicio Del Toro's "Jimmy P" drama sold ahead of Cannes premiere

Worldview Entertainment has acquired the U.S. rights to Benicio Del Toro's upcoming drama "Jimmy P." The film will have its world premiere in competition at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival.

The film is directed by Arnaud Desplechin and centers on a Blackfoot Indian, who fought in World War II and suffers from psychological issues.

Worldview's current slate includes Alejandro Gonzalez Innaritu’s comedy, “Birdman,” with Michael Keaton, Emma Stone and Zach Galifianakis and Daniel Espinosa’s crime thriller, "Child 44," with Tom Hardy, Noomi Rapace and Gary Oldman.
