Heritage party leader, former presidential candidate Raffi Hovannisian met today, on May 3 with U.S. ambassador John Heffern.

Issues of mutual interest with respect to contemporary foreign and domestic policy challenges in Armenia and the region were in the focus of the discussion. Of particular importance were Yerevan city council elections scheduled for May 5, together with the imperative of their conduct in line with legal and democratic standards.
