Armenian grandmaster Levon Aronian will face off against India’s Viswanathan Anand in the first round.

The tournament is arranged by the foundation Norway Chess, with economic support from local businesses and municipalities and the Rogaland county. The organizers hope to make the tournament a yearly event.
