Google+ social network redesigned version unveiled

Google has unveiled a totally redesigned version of its social network Google+, Digital Spy said.

A total of 41 new features across three main areas - Stream, Hangouts and Photos - will start rolling out today, May 16.

A new multi-column layout means users will see one, two or three columns of content depending on screen size and orientation.

Photos and videos can fill the entire width of the stream, while animations - the sharebox bounces, the menus slide - aim to create a "simple and beautiful experience".

Related hashtags allow users to delve deeper into their interests, with Google+ identifying and ranking relevant conversations across the network.
