RPA to vote against March 1 committee formation?

National Assembly’s four-day session kicks off today, on May 21, with the formation of ad hoc committee for March 1 events on the agenda. The discussion of the issue was postponed during the last session as the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) stressed the need to come to terms with the initiators. According to Parliamentmonitoring.am, no agreement was reached, with RPA planning to vote against the formation of March 1 committee.

On April 29, RPA deputy chairman Galust Sahakyan stressed the need to discuss a number of issues with the members of the Armenian National Congress (ANC) party by the launch of the next four-day session.

ANC parliamentary group representative Gagik Jhangiryan, in turn, noted that RPA’s proposals were only to be reviewed.
