Microsoft rolls out 2 new mice for Windows 8 PC users

Microsoft has announced two new mice suitable for Windows 8 PC users, Digital Spy said.

The Sculpt Comfort Mouse and Sculpt Mobile Mouse feature additional functions to make non-tablet usage of Windows 8 easier.

Both devices have an added Windows home key which gives quick access to the Start screen.

The Sculpt Comfort uses a blue touch-sensitive 'Windows touch tab' along the side of the mouse, which acts as a replacement to the traditional windows button found on keyboards.

Swiping up provides a cycle through all open Windows Store apps, while a down swipe instantly reveals all open apps on the left side of the screen.

Sculpt Comfort is priced at $39.95 (£26.45) and is due for release in June. Meanwhile the cheaper model, Sculpt Mobile, will be available sometime this month, priced at $29.95 (£19.83).

Its four-way scroll function is said to also improve navigation through the Start screen or apps that scroll horizontally.

Windows 7 and Mac OS 10.4 or higher are also compatible with both models.
