Gyumri to host Europe Day celebrations

For the first time Gyumri will host Europe Day celebrations on May 26.

The meeting between Gyumri State Pedagogical Institute students and Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia Traian Hristea will signal the start of the events in Armenia’s second largest city.

Ambassador Hristea will open an exhibition in Gyumri’s “Style” gallery, with the paintings showcased to represent the painters’ perception of the European values. The celebrations will also feature a small information fair, with EU project representatives to brief the visitors on the initiatives launched.

The EU bus will enable Gyumri city residents to gain deeper knowledge about the European Union through different games.

On May 26-31, the bus will travel to the provinces of Shirak, Lori and Tavush.
