U.S. caused Artsakh’s isolation from settlement talks – expert

Artsakh’s isolation from the Karabakh conflict settlement talks was dictated by the superpowers, a political analyst believes.

As Srgey Shakaryants told PanARMENIAN.Net, the demands above had never been set while only Russia and France co-chaired the OSCE Minsk Group.

Karabakh was isolated from talks in 1996, with the demand having been posed by the U.S., while Armenia yielded, unable or unwilling to oppose Washington.

“Artsakh will become involved in settlement talks when the U.S. stops secretly supporting Azerbaijan and frees itself of Turkey’s influence,” the expert said.
