Samsung Galaxy Note 3 new details revealed

New details surrounding Samsung's much-rumoured Galaxy Note 3 have emerged, Digital Spy said.

A new edition of the super-sized handset was reportedly confirmed by a Samsung official to Korean site ETNews (via Engadget).

The device will apparently feature a 13-megapixel camera - similar to the flagship Galaxy S4 - and optical image stabilisation, although the insider noted that final decisions could be altered before production begins.

The Note team are also said to have considered the introduction of 3x optical zoom but were limited by the handset's thin frame.

The follow-up to the Galaxy Note 2, the device will likely launch in the second half of this year, with many suggesting it will be unveiled at the IFA technology trade show in Berlin in September.

Previous reports have claimed that the Galaxy Note 3 will ditch the plastic casing of its predecessor and sport 360-degree image capabilities.

Samsung will unveil new Android and Windows devices at an event on June 20.
