Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan convoked a consultation following the incident in Vazgen Sargsyan military institute, with deputy defense ministers, general staff chief participating, ministry spokesman Artsrun Hovhannisyan said.

Minister Ohanyan condemned the occurred, urging for punishment of the incident.

Earlier a third year student of Vazgen Sargsyan military institute Armen Melkumyan opened fire on his classmate Sipan Movsisyan, who was taken to Grigor Lusavorich medical center. He later died of the gunshot wound. A criminal case has been instigated on the case.
