Asus rolls out world's thinnest 4K computer monitor

Asus has announced a slimline 4K computer monitor for the US market, Digital Spy said.

Touted as the thinnest display of its kind, at 35mm, the PQ321 has a 31.5-inch screen boasting a resolution of 3840 x 2160.

The PQ321 also features 10-bit RGB "deep colour" technology, two HDMI ports, LED back-lighting and 176-degree horizontal and vertical viewing angles.

Asus is yet to announce pricing details for the monitor, but recent consumer 4K television hardware has launched with price tags as high as £5,000.

The firm will also showcase a 39-inch 4K monitor at the Computex 2013 trade show in Taipei.
