Armenian Minister of Transport and Communications Gagik Beglaryan met on June 5 with Russian ambassador Ivan Volinkin.

Congratulating the envoy on the appointment, Minister Beglaryan attached importance to bilateral relations in the sectors of transport and communications.

He noted that the ministry closely cooperates with South Caucasian Railway CJSC, supporting the company in the problem solution. SCR, in turn, carries out the work stipulated by the investment projects.

Dwelling on development prospects of the communication sector, Minister Beglaryan hailed the operation of Russian mobile operators in the country.

For his part, ambassador Beglaryan stressed the importance of the cooperation between the ministry of transport and communications and Roscosmos Russian Federal Space Agency with Armenian space project.

Issues of mutual concern were further discussed.
