PM instructs to organize talks with ADB over North-South highway

Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan instructed the ministries of Foreign Affairs, Transport and Communication, Finance and Economy to organize negotiations with the representatives of Asian Development Bank (ADB) over a North-South highway construction program.

“Control Chamber revealed violations in fulfillment of financial obligations to ADB,” the Prime Minister said.

The official urged to introduce amendments in the agreement with ADB to avoid fines. Sargsyan cited ineffective program management and change in contractor’s concepts as the reason for the problems.

The official instructed to provide ADB with necessary information also offering to participate in negotiations with the Bank.
