In round 6, Armenian grandmaster Tigran Petrosian beat Mareco Sandro, with Hrant Melkumyan gaining the upper hand over Prasanna Vishnu.

As a result, Petrosian and Melkumyan gained 5,5 points each to share 1st - 3rd spots with Vladislav Nevednichy.
