Minister forecasts 4,7-5,7% economic growth in 2013

2013 economic growth is planned to be set at 4,7-5,7%, Armenian finance minister said.

David Sargsyan conditioned the difference of the economic growth assessment by the agricultural growth.

“Our expectations from the agricultural growth are more optimistic, with 4-5% growth forecast,” he said.

The Central Bank forecasts 2-4% growth, with increase in private investments to total 5,1 %.

“The investments are expected to report high index in the face of the construction sector and the Central Bank’s forecasts,” Minister Sargsyan said, stressing he need for the Central bank to demonstrate greater flexibility.
