Samsung working on larger version of Galaxy Note, report says

Samsung is reportedly working on a larger version of its Galaxy Note device, sporting a 12.2-inch display, Digital Spy said.

South Korean site ETNews claims that the firm will release the Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2 later this year, with a Q3 debut likely.

The super-sized Android slate will allegedly feature a full HD, 2560 x 1600 WQXGA optimised for the S-Pen stylus that comes bundled with all Galaxy Note devices.

Sharp is reportedly on board to provide displays for the device, with Samsung said to have lodged a request for 12 million screens.

The so-called Galaxy Note 12.2 would be the largest Galaxy device ever released should the rumour prove true. It would sit at the top of the range ahead of the Galaxy Note 10.1.

Samsung has a product unveiling scheduled for June 20 in London, but it is unknown whether the 12.2-inch slate will make its debut there.
