Riddick has debuted a new international trailer, Digital Spy said.

The trailer shows Vin Diesel's eponymous anti-hero facing off against a host of bounty hunters.

The film sees Riddick left for dead on a planet populated by a brutal and deadly alien race.

His only chance of escape is to activate a distress signal and lure the hunters seeking his head to the perilous planet.

Karl Urban, Jordi Molla, Matt Nable, Katee Sackhoff, Bokeem Woodbine, Dave Bautista, Conrad Pla, Raoul Trujillo, Nolan Funk and Keri Hilson will also feature in the David Twohy-directed movie.

Diesel will be promoting the film at San Diego Comic-Con International in July.

Riddick will be released in the UK and US on September 6.
