Stamp honoring brandy production in Armenia enters circulation

A new stamp dedicated to the foundation of the brandy production in Armenia was cancelled and entered into circulation Tuesday, June 18.

The cancellation ceremony was attended by the Deputy Minister of Transport and Communication Andranik Aleksanyan, the acting CEO of Haypost CHSC Haik Avagyan, among other officials.

The stamp designed by Vahagn Mkrtchyan, features a glass of brandy, a basket of grapes and an ancient sculpture, representing two men in royal garments, with glasses in their hands.

The stamps with nominal value of AMD 300 were printed in Cartor printing house, France, with a print run of 40 000 items.
