Charles Aznavour, Omar Sharif named honorary citizens of Marseilles

The city of Marseilles, currently hosting a week of French-Armenian cooperation, honored Charles Aznavour and Omar Sharif.

The legendary chansonnier and the famed Syrian Egyptian actor were named the honorary citizens of the city.

“At 89, Aznovour still has a lot to say. In 2001 the chansonnier wrote a biographical book “Till My Heart Beats” to be released October 24. The academy award nominee Shariff is known for his role in Henri Verneuil’s Mayrig,” purepeople.com said.
