Pacific Rim has debuted two new clips. One sees Charlie Hunnam and Rinko Kikuchi face off against one of the film's giant Kaiju monsters, Digital Spy said.

The second sees Ron Perlman and Charlie Day negotiate over the acquisition of a Kaiju brain.

Guillermo del Toro's film is set in a future where mankind pilots giant robots called Jaegers against the monsters that menace it.

Idris Elba, Robert Kazinsky, Max Martini, Clifton Collins Jr, Burn Gorman, Larry Joe Campbell, Brad William Henke and Diego Klattenhoff also feature in the film.

Pacific Rim launched a behind-the-scenes app last week.

Del Toro has spoken out against rumours of poor box office predictions, saying that the movie is "on the right track".

Pacific Rim will open in 3D, IMAX 3D and 2D cinemas on July 12.
