Hungarian CC president apologizes for Azeri axe-murderer extradition

The sentence passed upon for the Azerbaijani murderer Ramil Safarov was not severe at all, president of the Hungarian Constitutional Court Péter Paczolay has stated.

“Surprisingly, some officials and even diplomats eyed the verdict as severe. However, no sentence can be severe for someone who murdered a sleeping person. Moreover, after extradition to Azerbaijan, the criminal was welcomed as a hero instead of being put behind bars,” Mr. Paczolay said.

“On behalf of my country, I apologize to the Armenian people,’ he said.
