1st look at Amy Adams as painter Margaret Keane in "Big Eyes"

Production of "Big Eyes" is currently underway, and fans are now treated with a set photo courtesy of The Film Stage. The image gives a first look at Amy Adams, who is seen covering her red hair with a short Marilyn Monroe-styled blonde wig. It's understandable though since the film about painter Margaret Keane is set in the 1950s, AceShowbiz said.

A batch of images featuring the "Man of Steel" actress probably taken on the same set is unveiled by Daily Mail. In the pics, she is totally turned into a retro-looking girl with a vintage outfit for her portrayal of the Tennessee-born artist. Also spotted on the scene is co-star Krysten Ritter, who takes on the role as Margaret's daughter, DeeAnn.

"Big Eyes" centers on the awakening of painter Margaret Keane, her phenomenal success in the 1950s and the subsequent legal difficulties she had with her husband Walter, who claimed credit for her works in the 1960s.

Directed by Tim Burton, the drama also stars Christoph Waltz as Walter Keane. Joining the cast ensemble for supporting roles are Jason Schwartzman, Danny Huston and Terence Stamp.

The Weinstein Company has not set a release date yet for the biopic.
