PBS Will Not Air Discussion Denying Armenian Genocide
The PBS decided not to air the discussion, during which the Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Turkey in 1915-1923 is denied. PBS planed to provide a one-hour documentary, titled "The Armenian Genocide" and produced by Andrew Goldberg, to its nationwide affiliates on April 17th, followed by a panel discussion, which would feature outspoken genocide deniers. However, the airing of the film is not canceled. The Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) was successful in preventing airing both the film and the discussion in Los-Angeles, where most of the Armenian community live, reported RFE/RL. The PBS was planning to organize a round table discussion with participation of two Genocide deniers Justin McCarthy and Omer Turan.
