Polaroid's Socialmatic camera will be released in 2014 with a price tag of $299 (£196), Digital Spy said.
The device was originally touted as an Instagram device before the company entered a licensing agreement with Polaroid.
The shooter is dedicated to sharing photographs, both online and in the physical format, with a built-in Zink Instant Printer on board for distributing print-outs.
Socialmatic features a 14-megapixel and a 2-megapixel rear-facing cam for capturing self portraits, as well as an LED flash, a 4.3-inch display and stereo speakers for audio playback when viewing video footage.
Connectivity options include GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, and the device comes with 4GB of on-board storage backed up via microSD support.
Software features include a mood assistant and a range of photo filters similar to those found on Instagram.
Socialmatic has been touted as a rival to Samsung's Galaxy Camera line, which is also designed with photo sharing in mind.
