Artsakh army refutes Azeri reports on soldier blown up by mine

As it was reported earlier, on the night of Aug 8, Artsakh defense army serviceman Hakob Injighulyan, born in 1991, when on duty, failed to find his bearings on the ground and crossed into the Azeri-controlled territory.

However, according to some Azerbaijani media outlets, “two Armenian soldiers crossed the contact line near Aghdam and penetrated into the territory controlled by Azerbaijan. The Azerbaijani servicemen detained one of them while the other tried to escape and was blown up by a mine in a neutral zone.”

In a conversation with a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, Artsakh defense army spokesman Senor Hasratyan confirmed that Injighulyan crossed the contact line but refuted reports about the soldier who allegedly was blown up by a mine. “These reports are nothing but a blatant lie invented by the Azeri propaganda machine,” he said.
