Azeri media have been spreading information suggesting captive Hakob Injighulyan is unwilling to return to Armenia.
As Defense Ministry spokesman told PanARMENIAN.Net, ANS Azeri TV channel allegedly released a video featuring the captive who says he doesn't want to return to Armenia.
The information is being clarified, with the ministry to contact the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) representatives tomorrow (August 23).
Two days ago, ICRC representatives met Injighulyan who never mentioned his unwillingness to return to Armenia, with Azerbaijani Prisoners of War Commission Secretary earlier noting he sees no problem with the captive's return.
On the night of Aug 8, Injighulyan, born in 1991, failed to find his bearings on the ground and crossed into the Azeri-controlled territory. No meeting with the ICRC representatives has been organized so far.
