Nokia's Lumia 1520 phablet has been glimpsed in what appears to be a leaked photograph, according to Digital Spy.

The image of the six-inch Windows Phone 8 handset was published by Windows Phone Central, which has outed several Nokia devices in the past.

The website claims that the Lumia 1520 will come with a quad-core processor and a 20-megapixel camera on board.

Nokia is said to be planning to announce the hybrid device alongside its rumoured Windows RT tablet.

The Lumia 1520 faces competition from large-screened Android handsets such as the Sony Xperia Z Ultra and the Samsung Galaxy Mega.
