Russia will promote studying and spread of the Armenian language as an ethno-national component of the Russian general education system. In his words, the respective wording is included in the final protocol of an interparliamentary meeting in Moscow March 14. «This is of huge importance for Armenian schools of Moscow and south of Russia,» Hovhannisyan remarked. At that he emphasized that both parties should be interested in enhancing the role of the Russian language in Armenia. «If Russia want to promote spread of the Russian language, it should provide for respective financing, as in case of the English, German or French languages,» he remarked.
