A new poster from Alfonso Cuarón's Gravity has been released, Digital Spy said.

Sandra Bullock and George Clooney star in the space-set thriller as a pair of astronauts who become separated from their craft during a routine mission, and work together to stay alive while drifting in space.

The new poster highlights Clooney's Matt Kowalsky, a veteran astronaut who is commanding his final mission.

Bullock recently spoke to Digital Spy about her role as medical engineer Dr. Ryan Stone, explaining that she wanted the character to look "androgynous" in order to reflect her backstory.

Gravity, which is Cuarón's first feature since 2006's Children of Men, held its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival this week.

The film will be released on October 4 in the US, and November 8 in the UK.
