Settlement of Frozen Conflicts in South Caucasus Discussed in Rome
Armenian Ambassador to Italy Ruben Shugarian took part in the round table discussions titled "South Caucasian states in the process of European integration" initiated by the Italian Defense Ministry, reported the RA MFA press office. Ruben Shugarian presented the priorities of Armenia's foreign policy drawing special attention to the differences and commonness of the European integration in Armenia and other South Caucasian states. The discussions focused on the development of the South Caucasus-NATO relations, frozen conflicts and possibilities of their settlement. At that Ruben Shugarian briefed on Armenia's position on the issue. The Armenian diplomat also noted that even with the availability of some conflicts in the South Caucasus there is a real possibility to find a common approach to the development of regional cooperation between the three states. Georgian Ambassador to Italy Zaal Goszadze, advisor of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Rome G. Bayram as well as experts and political scientists also participated in the discussions.
