Rob Lowe has been cast in Sex Tape.

The Parks and Recreation actor will join Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel in the comedy, Digital Spy reports citing Deadline.

Segal and Diaz play a husband and wife who try to revitalise their marriage by filming a sex tape.

Lowe will appear as the highly-strung CEO of a toy company who finds himself in possession of the tape when the couple accidentally lose it.

Rob Corddry and Jack Black will also star in the Jake Kasdan-directed movie.

Lowe was recently seen in Behind the Candelabra.

Sex Tape is scheduled to begin shooting in the autumn after Diaz has completed shooting on the Annie remake.
