ARF Dashnaktsutyun developing own methods to curb migration

ARF Dashnaktsutyun is developing an anti-migration program, to curb soaring outflow rates.

According to the head of ARFD parliamentary group Armen Rustamyan, a number of experts were involved in the program. Professional discussions were held, with the new stage of implementation to launch soon, aysor.am said.

“The outflow issue is posing a threat to national security, with the country facing an army recruitment problem. There is a number of vacant positions in other sectors as well,” Rustamyan told journalists.

ARFD-initiated program includes 11 paragraphs covering the sectors of economy, politics, education, among others. The program suggests differentiating between business and politics, pursuing fair personnel policies, promoting transparency in the activities of the officials, creating new jobs, encouraging investments, shifting from the social to industrial agriculture, increasing availability and quality of education.

According to official data, as of July 1, Armenian population decreased by 15000 against the early 2013.

As of June 2013, out of Armenia’s 3 011,9 thous. population, 1 904,4 thous. live in the cities and 1 107,5 thous. in villages.
