Consumer prices rise 7.1% in Armenia in October

7.1%-inflation rate was recorded in Armenia's consumer market in October 2013 compared to the same period in 2012.

During the reported period, prices for foodstuff (including alcoholic beverages and cigarettes) increased by 6.3%, prices for non-foods increased by 3.9%, with 10.3% growth in tariffs for services posted.

0.3% inflation rate was recorded in Armenia's consumer market in October 2013 as compared with September. 0.3% drop was posted in tariffs for services, with prices for foods and non-foods growing by 0.3% and 1.4 % respectively.

Consumer prices increased by 0.1-1.4% in October compared to September in 10 Armenian cities under study, while the highest index was registered in Kapan.

0.2% increase was recorded in consumer prices in Yerevan.
