OSCE chief personal rep. absent as contact line monitoring held

The monitoring of the contact line eastward to Bala Jafarli village of Azerbaijan’s Kazakh region was delayed over the absence of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk and field assistants Hristo Hristov and Evgeny Sharov.

As the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry press service told APA, the monitoring was conducted only after the sides were warned; no incident was recorded in the process.

The monitoring was conducted by field assistants of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office William Pryor and Jiri Aberle.

The monitoring of the contact line between Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijani armed forces was suspended Thursday, Oct 17, due to shots fired from the Azeri side.

The violations were registered by the monitoring group on both sides. Personal representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, ambassador Andrzey Kasprzyk decided to stop the monitoring over security reasons.
