Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore’s “Ghost” redeveloped for TV series

The 1990 romantic fantasy movie Ghost is being redeveloped for a TV series, Digital Spy said.

Paramount Television is working on the TV pilot adaptation, although no network is currently attached to the project.

Variety reports that Fringe producers Akiva Goldsman and Jeff Pinkner are on board.

The original Ghost movie starred Patrick Swayze as a murdered man tracking the crimes of his killer from beyond the grave, while watching over his girlfriend played by Demi Moore.

It is Paramount Television's second attempt at a TV show based on a classic movie, after it co-produced a Beverly Hills Cop pilot earlier this year which failed to be picked up.

Ghost has also been adapted for the stage, opening on Broadway in April 2012 before going on a national tour after four months.
