Unlicensed sale of Microsoft products discovered in Yerevan stores

Several cases of a sale of unlicensed Microsoft products were uncovered during the Business Software Alliance monitoring in Yerevan’s computer stores.

The Microsoft Representative Office in Armenia issued a complaint to the State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition (SCPEC).

Administrative proceedings were instigated, with the following stores accused of selling unlicensed products: IT Master, NIX Computers, LED Computers, AG Electronics, ONLINE PLUS, HARD POWER SYSTEMS, FULLOPSYS, IT Plaza, Compass, LANZA, SP tech Computers, SMART SHOP, FREEGATE.

During the Friday, November 15 sitting SCPEC issued a severe warning, with the legally punishable violations to be eliminated. Also, materials on the case will be sent to the Armenian Police.
