European Commission Blames Ankara for Negligence
The European Union can freeze financial cooperation with Turkey and as result Ankara may be deprived of 1 billion euros. Brussels is discontent that since 2005 Turkey hasn't undertaken the moves for the development of financial cooperation, reported CNN-Turk. The European Commission blames Ankara for negligence. If Turkey fails to justify the Commission's expectations it will be deprived of 1 billion euros and talks on a number of European integration issue will not be started. To note, over the same reason Turkey was deprived of 24 million euros in 2003. The European Commission is expected to announce the verdict in Ankara on April 26 during the sitting of the EU-Turkey joint control commission.
