Scholar: Sargsyan-Aliyev meeting to promote regional peace

Professor of Political Science, advisor of the Hungarian Socialist Party, Laszlo Kemeny welcomed the November 19 Vienna-hosted meeting between Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev.

“The meeting will promote mutual trust and understanding to positively affect the Karabakh conflict settlement talks,” Kemeny told PanARMENIAN.Net.

The expert expressed confidence that the meeting can pave the way to stability and regional cooperation. “Much hasn’t been revealed on the meeting, but the Presidents agreeing to meet in the months to come and intensify the settlement talks is, in itself, a positive shift,” the expert said.
