Armenia invites Turkish Foreign Minister to BSEC meeting in Yerevan

Armenia has invited Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu to Yerevan to attend a meeting of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) in early December, saying it will be pleased to see the Turkish foreign minister in the Armenian capital, according to Today's Zaman.

The invitation for the BSEC meeting is sent to all member countries of the organization, but the invitation sent to Turkey added that the Armenian side will be pleased to see Davutoğlu in Yerevan, the report says.

Turkish officials, who talked to Today's Zaman, said Davutoğlu was considering attending the meeting that will be held on Dec 12. Decision was expected to be taken following the results of the Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents’ talks in Vienna.

The officials, however, noted that the BSEC meeting overlaps with a visit by German President Joachim Gauck to Turkey.
