American Hustle has released a new clip, Digital Spy said.

Amy Adams and Christian Bale feature in the latest look at David O Russell's vintage crime thriller.

The scenes see the pair bonding over a love of the late jazz musician Duke Ellington.

Adams and Bale play Sydney Prosser and Irving Rosenfeld, two con artists who are recruited by the FBI to ensnare a coterie of corrupt politicians.

Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, Jeremy Renner, Robert De Niro, Louis CK and Michael Peña also feature in the movie, set in the 1970s and '80s.

Russell, Lawrence and Cooper worked together on the award-winning Silver Linings Playbook.

American Hustle will open in the U.S. on December 18 and in the UK on December 20.
