Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Lite rumored to be rolled out at MWC

Before the Galaxy Note 3 was launched, there were many rumors that hinted at Samsung’s plans to launch both a premium and lower-cost variant of the phablet. As SamMobile confirms citing own sources, the latter variant does exist – Samsung will announce the Galaxy Note 3 Lite at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) next year, and market availability will begin sometime in February/March.

According to SamMobile, the Note 3 Lite – model number SM-N7505 - will be available in black and white (at least initially), though no details were given on its hardware specs. The device showed up in shipping manifests over the weekend, and the listings indicate Samsung is testing the device with both 5.49 and 5.7-inch screen sizes.

The camera will likely be downgraded to an 8-megapixel unit, and the screen technology might be changed from Super AMOLED to LCD, traits which the Note 3 Lite will share with the Galaxy S4 Active.
