Acer rolls out Aspire Z3-600 hybrid device

Acer has announced the Aspire Z3-600 hybrid device, Digital Spy said.

The Windows 8 machine serves as either a desktop computer or a whopping 21.5-inch tablet, with a rechargeable battery and touchscreen on board.

The Aspire Z3-600 comes with a mid-range Pentium processor under the hood, backed up by 4GB of RAM and a 750GB HDD, while its screen resolution is Full HD.

A set of Harman Kardon speakers come built in, and HDMI support allows users to hook up a games console or Blu-ray player to its display.

Acer claims that the on-board battery is capable of providing 2.5 hours of power, but the device's size is expected to limit its portability.

The Acer Aspire Z3-600 goes on sale in the U.S. in December priced at $779, with availability in other territories yet to be announced.
