Cumberbatch’s "Sherlock" Season 3 interactive trailer unveiled

The first full trailer for "Sherlock" season 3 has been made available for viewing pleasure. It shows that Sherlock plans to surprise John Watson after his return, but the doctor isn't too amused with the surprise, AceShowbiz reported.

"I don't care how you faked it, I want to know why," John asks. "The one person he thought didn't matter at all to me was the one person that mattered the most," Sherlock says. John has moved on two years after the fall and isn't residing at 221B Baker Street anymore.

Meanwhile, Sherlock's brother Mycroft warns that an attack is coming. Later, the quirky detective says he needs to get to know London again.

More footage is shared through an interactive version of the trailer. It features on-screen messages related to the scenes which when clicked upon reveal clips and photos.

"Sherlock" season 3 premieres on New Year's Day in the UK, followed by the U.S. premiere January 19, 2014 on PBS. Before that, fans can tune in to a Christmas mini episode which has been announced on the show's official site.

Details of the mini episode are scarce, but the logline says, "Sherlock Holmes has been gone for two years. But someone isn't quite convinced that he's dead."
